What an abaya really costs in Pakistan

A Zee & Zaa order arrives in 3 to 7 working days, depending on your city. We pack in Multan within 1 to 2 working days, then TCS, Leopards or Postex carry the parcel. Multan and southern Punjab are the quickest lanes at 1 to 3 working days, Karachi and Quetta the longest at 3 to 5. You get a tracking number as soon as the parcel leaves us.

Yes. Zee & Zaa ships free Cash on Delivery everywhere in Pakistan, with no advance payment and no delivery charge. You pay the rider Rs. 6,800 in cash when the parcel arrives. Open it at your door, check the stitching and the shade, then pay. Orders outside Pakistan are quoted by email or Instagram instead.

Order by your height, because a Zee & Zaa abaya is cut loose through the body. Up to 5 feet 2 inches takes S, 5 feet 3 to 5 feet 5 takes M, 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 8 takes L, and 5 feet 9 and above takes XL. If you wear heels often, take the next size up.

Zee & Zaa abayas are made from premium Nida and luxury flowy crepe. Nida is a soft matte weave that holds its shape, resists creasing and stays fully opaque. Crepe is lighter, with a fine crinkled surface and a more fluid drape. Both wash on a gentle cycle and both are lined or opaque by design.

Light crepe is the better choice for a Pakistani summer, especially in humid cities like Karachi and through the Punjab monsoon. Crepe is thinner than Nida, moves air more freely and dries quickly after a wash. Pale shades such as ivory and mocha stay cooler in direct sun than black. For dry inland heat, a lightweight Nida works just as well.

Yes. Zee & Zaa ships to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, the UK, the USA and beyond. International orders are quoted after checkout by email or Instagram DM, because the shipping cost depends on your country and the parcel weight. Cash on Delivery is Pakistan only, so overseas orders are paid before the parcel ships.

Zee & Zaa is run by two sisters, Zainab Fatima and Zahra Batool, in Multan, Pakistan. Every abaya is cut and stitched locally by karigars we work with directly, and the hand embroidery is done by the same small team, piece by piece. Tilla is hand embroidery worked in fine metallic thread, historically real gold or silver, laid on the surface of the fabric and couched down stitch by stitch rather than pulled through it. The tradition is documented as Kashmiri in origin. The tilla on a Zee & Zaa abaya is worked by karigars here in Multan, and it catches light softly rather than flashing.

An abaya is a loose full length outer robe worn over your clothes, open or closed at the front, usually with a separate hijab. A jilbab generally means a longer one piece outer garment covering from head to ankle. In Pakistan, burqa usually describes a fuller covering that includes a face veil. Zee & Zaa makes abayas.

Wash a Nida abaya inside out on a gentle 30 degree cycle with a mild detergent, no bleach and no fabric softener, then dry it in shade on a wide hanger. Our abaya care guide covers each fabric separately, including how to hand wash tilla work without flattening the metallic thread.
