The Turkish look, made in Multan
Turkish-style abaya
A Turkish-style abaya is the most tailored and colour-forward of the regional looks: a defined waist, a fuller skirt and a palette that runs well beyond black. Zee & Zaa makes that look in Multan, an umbrella flare from a fitted waist in shades like rose, olive and maroon, at a flat Rs. 6,800 in sizes S to XL with free Cash on Delivery across Pakistan. It is our honest interpretation, made here.

What a Turkish-style abaya actually is
Turkish modest fashion took the abaya in a different direction from the Gulf. Instead of a straight column in black, it treats the garment as tailored outerwear: shaped, layered and unafraid of colour. A few signatures repeat across the style.
- A defined waist rather than a straight column, so the silhouette has shape rather than falling flat.
- A colour-forward palette: dusty rose, olive, maroon and earth tones sit alongside black, not behind it.
- A tailored, outerwear feel, closer to a considered coat-dress than to a plain covering.
- A fuller skirt or flare below the waist, which is what gives the walk its movement.
- Styled as a finished outfit, usually with a matching hijab, so the whole look reads as one piece.
How we make it in Multan
Two things carry the Turkish feel: a waist and a colour. Our Aura silhouette gives you both. The umbrella flare falls from a fitted waist, so the shape is defined rather than straight, and the fuller skirt below gives the walk its movement. We cut it in a colour-forward palette, dusty rose, muted olive, deep maroon and warm mocha, which is exactly where the Turkish look lives and where a plain Gulf black does not.
We keep it honest. These are our interpretation, made in Pakistan, not an import from Istanbul. Many Turkish abayas are button-front, coat-style layers; ours are pull-on and closed, cut in a fluid luxury crepe, and the styling belt shown in the photos is not included in the parcel. What you do get is the shaped, colourful silhouette the style is known for, with the matching hijab in the same box.

Turkish-style abaya, answered
What makes an abaya Turkish style?
Shape and colour. A Turkish-style abaya defines the waist and lets a fuller skirt fall below it, and it reaches for colour, rose, olive, maroon and earth tones, rather than defaulting to black. It reads more like tailored outerwear than a plain covering. Zee & Zaa's fitted-waist umbrella flare is built on the same idea.
Are these real Turkish abayas, or made in Pakistan?
These are our interpretation of the Turkish look, cut and stitched in our Multan studio, not imported. What carries across is the shaped waist, the fuller flare and the wider colour palette. One honest note: many Turkish abayas are button-front coat styles, while ours are pull-on and closed, and the styling belt you see in our photos is not included.
How is the Turkish style different from Dubai or Saudi?
The Turkish look is the most tailored and the most colourful. A Dubai-style abaya is fluid and minimalist in rich neutrals; a Saudi-style abaya is plain and mostly black. The Turkish take defines the waist and leans into colour, which is why our rose, olive and maroon shades sit under this style rather than the others.
Which shade is most Turkish?
The colours do the work here. Rose Aura in a muted dusty rose, Olive Aura in a grey-green, or Maroon Aura in a deep blue-red all carry the colour-forward Turkish feel far better than plain black. Each is cut with the same fitted waist and full flare.
